I’m Jake, a Business Management (Enterprise and Innovation) student at Swansea University with a serious interest in marketing, digital media, and content creation. My time at university has been an exciting blend of academic learning and practical experience, where I’ve been able to apply my knowledge in real-world contexts. I’m passionate about how brands can connect with audiences through creative digital strategies, and I’ve been actively involved in creating content for various platforms. Whether it’s crafting engaging social media campaigns, producing interviews, or brainstorming new ideas, I thrive on using innovative approaches to reach and inspire people. My university journey has been a catalyst for expanding my skill set, and I’m constantly excited about the next opportunity to combine my studies with my interests in marketing and content creation.
Through my work with the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), I’ve gained hands-on experience in sports media and content creation. I’ve had the opportunity to produce engaging content for social media platforms, conduct player interviews, and help enhance the digital presence of the league. This role has given me valuable insight into the sports industry, particularly how to connect with fans through creative storytelling and dynamic digital strategies. Whether capturing the excitement of the games or highlighting the personalities of the players, I’ve learned how to craft content that resonates with the audience, while supporting the broader marketing and fan engagement efforts of the league. My time with the EIHL has not only strengthened my content creation skills but also deepened my understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in sports marketing.
Additionally, I’m also deeply passionate about travel, having spent my gap year exploring Europe and Australia. This experience gave me a chance to immerse myself in different cultures, broaden my horizons, and see the world from a new perspective. When I’m not traveling, I’m all about ice hockey, F1 and esports. I’ve been following ice hockey for years, both as a fan and through my work with the Elite Ice Hockey League. Esports also holds a special place in my life, where I enjoy the strategic and competitive nature of the scene. I’m also a huge F1 fan, appreciating the speed, precision, and teamwork that go into every race. These passions fuel my creativity, drive, and perspective, influencing both my personal and professional journey.
